আজকের পড়াশোনা Antomy বইয়ের Diaphragm নিয়ে!!
প্রফে অনেক সময় জিজ্ঞেস করে Human Body তে কি কি Diaphragm আছে বল? এই পোস্ট এ Almost সবগুলো Diaphragm এক করার চেষ্টা করলাম।
Diaphragm: The term ‘diaphragm’ is derived from Greek words: ‘dia’ meaning ‘across’ and ‘phragmos’ meaning ‘a hedge’. It was originally applied to any septum of body.
The various diaphragms in the body are: From above downwards.
◆ Diaphragm of the hypophyseal fossa (diaphragm sellae): It is a small, circular horizontal fold of dura mater forming the roof of the hypophyseal fossa.
◆ Diaphragm of the posterior cranial fossa (tentorium cerebelli): It is a tent-shaped fold of dura mater forming the roof of posterior cranial fossa.
◆ Diaphragm of the eye (iris muscle). It is a circular diaphragm formed by sphincter and dilator pupillae muscles.
◆ Cervical diaphragm (diaphragm of the thoracic inlet). It is formed on either side by suprapleural membrane (Sibson’s fascia).
◆ Thoraco-abdominal diaphragm/The Diaphragm (diaphragm of the thoracic outlet). It is dome-shaped musculo-aponeurotic partition between thoracic and abdominal cavities. It is formed by diaphragm muscle.
◆ Pelvic diaphragm. It is a basin-shaped muscular diaphragm formed by the levator ani (mainly) and coccygeal muscles.
◆ Urogenital diaphragm (deep perineal pouch).consists of sphincter urethrae and deep transverse perineal muscles.
