Fragility Fracture (ফ্র্যাজিলিটি ফ্র্যাকচার)
সংজ্ঞা (Definition)
Fragility Fracture হলো এমন একটি ভাঙন (fracture) যা খুব সামান্য আঘাত বা দৈনন্দিন স্বাভাবিক কাজের ফলে ঘটে, যেখানে স্বাভাবিক হাড়ে সাধারণত ভাঙন হওয়ার কথা নয়। সাধারণত osteoporosis-এর কারণে হাড় দুর্বল হয়ে গেলে এই ধরনের fracture হয়।
উদাহরণ:
- দাঁড়ানো অবস্থা থেকে পড়ে যাওয়া
- বিছানা থেকে নামার সময় পড়ে যাওয়া
- হালকা ধাক্কা
- কখনও কখনও কোনো আঘাত ছাড়াই
সবচেয়ে বেশি আক্রান্ত স্থান:
- Hip (Femoral neck)
- Vertebra (মেরুদণ্ড)
- Distal Radius (Colles fracture)
- Proximal Humerus
কারণসমূহ (Causes)
১. Osteoporosis (সবচেয়ে সাধারণ কারণ)
- Bone mineral density কমে যায়
- হাড় পাতলা ও ভঙ্গুর হয়ে যায়
- Postmenopausal নারীদের মধ্যে বেশি
২. বয়স বৃদ্ধি
- ৬৫ বছরের বেশি বয়সে ঝুঁকি বেশি
- Bone remodeling কমে যায়
৩. Menopause
- Estrogen হরমোন কমে যায়
- Bone loss দ্রুত হয়
৪. Vitamin D Deficiency
- Calcium absorption কমে যায়
- Osteomalacia ও osteoporosis হতে পারে

- হাড় দুর্বল হয়ে যায়

সারসংক্ষেপ
Fragility fracture সাধারণত osteoporosis-এর কারণে সামান্য আঘাতে হওয়া fracture। Hip, vertebra এবং wrist সবচেয়ে বেশি আক্রান্ত হয়। X-ray ও DEXA scan প্রধান পরীক্ষা। চিকিৎসার মূল লক্ষ্য হলো fracture management, pain control এবং ভবিষ্যৎ fracture প্রতিরোধ। Bisphosphonate (Alendronate, Zoledronic acid), Denosumab ও Teriparatide হলো প্রধান osteoporosis therapy।
