Like পেটের security guard?
Hernia treatment in medicine typically depends on the type, size, and severity of the hernia, as well as the patient’s symptoms and overall health. Here are the main approaches:
1. Conservative Management (Non-Surgical)
Watchful waiting: For small, asymptomatic hernias, especially in older adults.
Lifestyle changes: Weight loss, avoiding heavy lifting, and treating chronic cough or constipation to reduce strain.
Trusses or binders: Support garments may help reduce discomfort temporarily but do not treat the hernia.
2. Surgical Treatment (Definitive)
Surgery is the most effective and common treatment for hernias, especially when symptoms are present or complications risk is high.
Types of Hernia Surgery:
Open surgery:
An incision is made near the hernia.
The protruding tissue is pushed back.
The abdominal wall is reinforced with sutures and often a mesh to reduce recurrence.
Laparoscopic (minimally invasive) surgery:
Several small incisions are made.
A camera and instruments are inserted.
Less pain, quicker recovery, but may not be suitable for all cases.
Robotic-assisted surgery: Similar to laparoscopy but with robotic instruments, offering high precision.
3. Emergency Surgery
Needed immediately in cases of:
Incarcerated hernia: The hernia is stuck and can’t be pushed back.
Strangulated hernia: Blood supply to the herniated tissue is cut off—this is life-threatening.
