mucopurulent conjunctivitis :
Mucopurulent conjunctivitis হল চোখের একটি সংক্রমণজনিত অবস্থা, যেখানে conjunctiva (চোখের সাদা অংশ ও চোখের পাতার ভিতরের অংশের পর্দা) লাল হয়ে যায় এবং চোখ থেকে ঘন, সাদা-হলদেটে অথবা সবুজাভ রঙের discharge (পিচ্ছিল + পুঁজ মেশানো) বের হয়।
কারণ:
১. Bacterial infection – সবচেয়ে সাধারণ কারণ
• যেমন: Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae
-শিশুদের ক্ষেত্রে: Moraxella catarrhalis
চিকিৎসা :
Topical antibiotic drops বা ointment – যেমন:Moxifloxacin, Chloramphenicol, Tobramycin ইত্যাদি
at first single antibiotic দিয়ে শুরু করা ভালো:
১.Moxifloxacin 0.5% eye drop
ব্যবহার: দিনে 3 বার 5–7 দিন পর্যন্ত
বা
২. Chloramphenicol 0.5% eye drop
ব্যবহার: দিনে 4 বার (6 ঘণ্টা অন্তর) 5–7 দিন
বা
৩. Tobramycin 0.3% eye drop
ব্যবহার: দিনে 4 বার বা গুরুতর হলে প্রতি 2 ঘণ্টায়
৫-৭ দিন
পরামর্শ :চোখ পরিষ্কার রাখা (গরম পানিতে ভেজানো তুলা দিয়ে)
প্রয়োজনে culture করে organism অনুযায়ী antibiotic দেওয়া
