what is the pathophysiology behind this
Left Atrial Enlargement & Stasis of Blood
Increased pressure in thr left atrium
leading to left atrial dilatation
Atrial Fibrillation (AF)
Chronic pressure overload and atrial enlargement
AF leads to loss of coordinated atrial contraction,
which increases the risk of clot formation.
Thromboembolism & stroke
এই embolus যদি brain এ travel করে it occludes cerebral arteries, leading to an ischemic stroke.
